Our innovative aircraft engine test stand provides a simple, self-contained and convenient method of rigging and preparing aircraft gas turbine engines for dynamometer testing. The stand can be supplied in various sizes to suit the application and can integrate a variety of components, dynamometers, turntables, engine inertia flywheels, gearboxes, torque-meters, engine cradles, mounting systems and interconnecting drive shafts.

Froude has a unique range of dynamometers covering applications from high-powered industrial gas turbines, direct and indirect drive turboshaft engines, turboprop engines and A.P.U.s. We are able to supply hydraulic (water brake), eddy current and AC dynamometers for a wide range of gas turbine engine testing applications.

The Froude HS Range of hydraulic dynamometers have been specifically designed for gas turbine testing, and are compact, robust and low maintenance. The HS125, HS150 and HS2600 have a one-piece rotor shaft manufactured from a unique stainless steel forging.

Designed for turboshaft and turboprop engine applications, each featuring interchangeable engine adaptor frames allowing several engine types to be tested on a single test stand. Well-proven standard products are available for the majority of turboshaft and turboprop engines.

F Type hydraulic dynamometers are designed for high accuracy of control, torque measurement and rapid load changes (response). Our range includes low speed, high torque variants for turboprop testing and higher speed, lower torque variants for turboshaft testing in uni- and bi-directional configurations.

The VX200 builds upon the success of the VX100 PRO controller which has operated in test cells throughout the world for more than a decade. Specifically designed for testing gas turbine engines, the VX200 includes control and signal conditioning circuits for the dynamometer and associated hydraulic power packs and flywheel.

Running on the latest version of MS Windows, the Froude VXI graphical user interface provides clean visualization of dynamometer data on user-customizable pages. Responsive control is offered through a simple ergonomic desktop controller or customer host interface.
