Upgrade Dynamometer Components to Avoid Downtime due to Part Obsolescence.

Upgrade to Off-Board Powerpacks 

F47 to F84 dynamometers equipped with on-board powerpacks can be upgraded to an off-board powerpack configuration. This upgrade is driven by component obsolescence and provides improved serviceability and easier maintenance access to the powerpack as well as the water outlet valve. 

The powerpack upgrade will involve modifying the water outlet valve in order to add the new on-board powerpack.  However, the conversion can be carried out either by a Froude service engineer or by the customer’s own qualified technical personnel.

Pre-2023 F-Type Powerpack Accumulators Now Obsolete

We now offer an upgrade to a newer-style accumulator for all F-type dynamometers. If you still have an on-board powerpack, it will require a new manifold which can be retro-fitted on site. If you have the off-board configuration, the accumulator is easily removed and upgraded.

Full Torque Calibration Made Easier

For F35 through F84 dynamometers, as well as various HS dynamometers—no more struggling with heavy weights!

We have a new screw jack calibration system that is easy to use, takes up way less space and conforms to the latest Health and Safety regulations.

New High-Pressure Filter

If you have an F-type or HS dynamometer with the older style high-pressure filter, it is now obsolete. The filter elements are also becoming difficult to obtain. A new high-pressure filter is now available and we can supply a kit enabling an easy retro-fit either by the customer or a Froude service engineer.
